Sadden to read of the death of your beloved "Jerry." Although I did not know him, just reading his obituary allowed me to get a view into the type of man he was. I know he will be missed, but it is only temporary for Jesus Christ boldly promised: “Just as the Father raises the dead up and makes them alive, so the Son also makes those alive whom he wants to. Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his [Jesus’] voice and come out.” (John 5:21, 28, 29) Yes, Jesus Christ promised that millions now dead will live again on this earth and have the prospect of remaining on it forever under peaceful, paradisaic conditions. (Luke 23:43; John 3:16; 17:3; compare Psalm 37:29 and Matthew 5:5.) Since Jesus made the promise, it is safe to assume that he is willing to fulfill it. So as you grieve "Jerry's" death keep in mind the promise for our loving Heavenly Father, Jehovah God, that by means of His Son Jesus Christ, you can see Jerry again!!! My deepest sympathy.

Jerry 's career as a truly exceptional engineer was recognized by his colleagues at Teledyne and by the Air Force Propulsion Laboratory engineers. Jerry was a key engineer for many advanced projects at Teledyne culminating with two that were most notable. First, the Eclipse 500 small business jet was first successfully flown for over 50 flights using the Model 382 turbofan engine in one of the most schedule and structural challenging efforts. A second Teledyne event was one of the most challenging engineering demonstrations ever in the IHPTET initiative that proved the viability of the Excentric variable cycle propulsion system. For both projects Jerry was a team member providing unmatched experience, design, and testing expertise to achieve these successes. It was a pleasure for many years to work with Jerry at Teledyne. I thank him for those many years. I will miss Jerry. I send my condolences to his family while knowing that Jerry has a place in the Almighty's kingdom.
